18+. The Commission's export lists each account's licences, domains and status; the head office comes from each account's register page. A Malta head office is not proof of an MGA licence.
A Malta head office is not the same thing as an MGA licence. The Commission records where a company is based, while the Malta Gaming Authority keeps its own register. For any site you are considering, look for both: the UK account number that covers the domain, and the MGA licence number if the operator gives one.
Where UK-licensed casino companies are based
Head offices of all 221 accounts with an active UK remote casino licence, as each account's register page showed them on 29 September 2026:

Ten of the 25 Malta-based operators have held their UK remote casino licence since 1 November 2014. Five received it in 2025 or 2026: BM Solutions GB, Bet Theory (Malta), Betty Gaming (Malta), InnoBoom and Clobet, the most recent on 10 July 2026.

What the MGA numbers on these sites say
Three operators in the table print a Maltese licence number beside their UK account, in their footer or terms:
- Videoslots Limited: MGA/CRP/258/2014, issued on 19 May 2020, with UK account 39380.
- White Hat Gaming Limited, named in the 21Prive footer: MGA/B2C/370/2017, issued on 1 August 2018, with UK account 52894.
- L & L Europe Limited, in the All British Casino terms: MGA/B2C/211/2011, with UK account 38758.
The Videoslots and 21Prive footers also say which licence covers players in Great Britain, and the home page quotes them.
Where an operator prints no MGA number, this page gives none. The MGA's licensee register and URL checker are on its own website, and the URL checker tests the exact web address you intend to use.

When Malta and London disagree: Condor Malta Limited
On 28 September 2026 the MGA suspended the authorisation of Condor Malta Limited, holder of MGA/B2C/340/2016. Its notice says the company may no longer carry out any gaming operations, but must keep giving registered players access to their accounts so they can see them.
The Commission's export of 29 September still showed Condor Malta Limited, account 50094, with an active UK remote casino licence and five Active domains, among them big5casino.com and casinosieger.com. Each regulator records its own decisions. If you hold an account on one of these sites, read the operator's notices and check the Commission register before you deposit again.

Why game studios hold UK casino licences
33 of the 58 Malta-based accounts run no player sites. They include Evolution Malta Holding, Play'n GO Malta, Arrise Solutions (Malta), Nolimit City, Yggdrasil Gaming and HGMT, whose register entry lists hacksawgaming.com. Most hold Game Host or gambling software licences, which cover supplying and hosting games that UK operators offer to their customers.
You never open an account with these companies, so they are left out of the table. A studio's name on a game you play tells you who made the game, not who holds your money.
Checking an MGA casino before you sign up
- Find the company name and UK account number in the site's footer or terms.
- Search that name on the Commission's public register and confirm that its remote casino licence is Active.
- Check that the exact domain you are on is listed as Active for the same account.
- If the site names an MGA licence, test the same web address in the MGA's URL checker.

Questions about MGA casinos and UK players
01Are MGA casinos legal in the UK?
A casino can offer gambling to people in Great Britain only with a Gambling Commission licence. A Maltese licence alone does not give that permission. Every operator in the table has both a Malta head office and an active UK remote casino licence on the register of 29 September 2026.
02Is bet365 based in Malta?
bet365.com is listed as Active on account 55149, held by Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC, and that account's register page gives a head office in Ta'Xbiex, Malta. The register does not show where the rest of the bet365 group is based.
03Which Malta-based operator has the most UK sites?
Apollo Entertainment Limited, with 27 domains listed as Active, among them aztecriches.co.uk and captaincookcasino.co.uk. Betway Limited and L & L Europe Limited follow with 8 each.
04Does a Malta address mean the MGA licenses the site?
No. The address comes from the Commission's register and shows where the company is based. Only the MGA's own register confirms a Maltese licence, and a licence can be suspended, as Condor Malta Limited's was on 28 September 2026.
05Why do Paddy Power and Betfair appear under more than one company?
The register ties www.paddypower.com and www.betfair.com to PPB Entertainment Limited and PPB Games Limited, and www.betfair.com to Betfair Casino Limited as well. All three give a head office in St. Julians, Malta. PPB Entertainment also holds a bingo licence and PPB Games a pool betting licence, so the company named in your account terms is the one that matters.
